The January 28th film s WOMAN IN GOLD

This movie was adapted from true events. It is the biographical story directed by Simon Curtis and depicts the appalling seizures of art by Nazi forces invading Jewish homes during the War. It is a masterful story of how a young American Lawyer (Ryan Reynolds) and an elderly Jewish survivor fought the long legal battle some 60 years after the fact to regain possession of Maria Altman's (Helen Mirren) paintings, most notably, Gustav Klimt's (1862 - 1918) famous portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer, (Maria Altman's Aunt) also known as the "Woman in Gold" the battle intensifies for Mirren & Reynolds as the Austrian government had come to regard the portraits and many others in their possession as Austria's National Treasures.
