Beautiful Representations. Host: George Gruel
Photographing 3-D work such as sculpture, jewelry, pottery, woodwork, etc is difficult. You have backgrounds, shadows, and textures to consider. Sure, you can simply put your work on any surface and take a quick snapshot, but odds are this will be an unflattering representation. In this workshop professional photographer and VAL member George Gruel will provide pointers on how to photograph your three-dimensional work. He will cover using a lightbox, lighting, composition and more. Don’t worry if you don’t own an expensive camera, George will show you how to accurately reflect your artwork using the camera that you have. Yes, even if this is your cell phone camera.
Up to 10 participants. George will offer this workshop again on Jan 22.
