My name is Susie Pringle and I am many things but not an artist. I have joined the Art League because I support what they do and enjoy participating in their programs, fairs, museum visits and more. The closest I come to being an artist is my illustrated invitations and limericks. I use computer art rather than Susie art to embellish my writing. A sample is included.
As a New Yorker I have visited most of the array of art museums in New York and am delighted when there is a docent or some technology to help me appreciate more the items I am viewing. One of my favorite moments at the Met was to listen to a lecture on Child Hassam given by my college mate Barbara Weinberg who was the curator of American Art for many years. Barbara's comments so enhanced my visit.
I might try some jewelry making this year. I know that no one will laugh at my efforts.
With love,
Susie
