Art, in one form or another, has always been a part of my life.  I grew up in North Platte, Nebraska. I studied art at Iowa Western Community College under Nick Chiburis. My career started in the printing business as a graphic artist and ended as an art director for an advertising firm in Omaha, Nebraska.

Self taught, I  began weaving bead bracelets which led to larger works of three-dimensional assemblages and wall hangings.  I  am inspired by nature, in particular the Sonoran Desert, with its vast landscapes and colorful flora.  I love the contemplative aspect of weaving and the hours spent in the creative process, bringing life and illumination to each piece. Navajo weaving has inspired me in my work which has led to a series of American Indian portraits.

My works have been juried into the Contemporary Craft Show at Mesa Contemporary Arts, Mesa, AZ, the Cheyenne Western Spirit Art Show, Cheyenne, WY, the Tubac Center for the Arts, Tubac, AZ, the River Arts Center, Prairie du Sac, WI, and the Fine Art Craft Show, Hilton Head, SC.

My work is in private collections in Alaska, Arizona, Colorado, Iowa, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.

I enjoy Draw Studio on Wednesdays as I like to sketch and draw. I do some painting, and a wide variety of craft projects.
