I spent my career as a commercial banker. I retired early to do “all the things I never had time to do” while I was working.
Creating art was high on the list. I took several college art classes, and various workshops over a period of several years and discovered that my interests are creating art with texture and abstract design.
I love creating abstract collages beginning with an acrylic base design and then adding layers of different kinds of paper and paint.
Pipes covered with different materials are also something I enjoy making. The pipes are several sizes and are covered with a variety of materials to create different textures: ribbon, wire, twine, and various kinds of yarn and sometimes I include beads. I have done a number of installations ranging in size from 6 feet by 5 feet to one or two small pipes included as an item of interest in a grouping of paintings.
