I have been in love with wood and woodworking my entire life. Now in retirement I have had more time and a bit more space to spend in the shop, and have begun to concentrate on design and use of various species of wood.
Most recently I have enjoyed making a number of cutting and charcuterie boards using woods like oak, maple, walnut, purple heart, cherry, and paduk. These are turning out to be not only beautiful pieces, but quite useful as well. When making an Adirondack chair and crosses of different designs, I have also added cedar, redwood, burnt walnut, burnt red oak, pine, and alder to the inventory. Each has their own characteristics, which have frustrated, challenged, and delighted me, from rough lumber to final finishing. It brings me a lot of satisfaction to see how unique and beautiful each piece is when completed. I hope to learn more with every creation, as no two are alike.
I hope to continue to expand my interests and talents in wood as well as share with others using this media.
Please feel free to contact me if you would be interested in any of my items, or if you would like to discuss a custom creation made just for you. I live in Rio Verde.
