My love of art started when I was a preschooler.  Getting a coloring book and a box of crayons was very exciting!  All through school I enjoyed art classes and I won a couple of national art awards.  I continued my education at the University of Washington as an art major.

When I got married and had twins, art took a back seat except for an occasional art class.  When we moved to Rio Verde in 2001 from Washington State, I discovered that all the sunshine inspired me to paint.  Sunshine, along with taking art classes from Eddie Lopez in the Community Center was a prefect combination.  My favorite media are oil and acrylic and my favorite subjects are people.

Another favorite is mural painting.  I’ve painted children’s rooms, bathrooms, a seascape in a hospital examining room, but I think my favorite project was working on our Community Center Art Room wall along with other members of the Verdes Art League.
