Hannelore Wolcott-Bailey received her formal  art education at the Academy of Fine Arts in Frankfurt/ Germany.  She immigrated to the United States in 1952 and worked for the Artistic Card CO in Elmira, New York, designing greeting cards.  After her marriage and three children, she participated in many painting workshops with well known artists, like Frank Webb, John Pike, Zoltan Zabo and others. Hannelore specializes in watercolor landscapes, but enjoys acrylics as well.  She has exhibited her work in numerous galleries in the New York area as well as in Fountain Hills and Scottsdale, AZ.  She spends her summers with her husband, Tom in Penn Yan, New York, and her winters in Rio Verde.

Hannelore is mostly inspired by nature, the desert at sunset, the river Verde and the animals and birds of the area: javelinas, coyotes, roadrunners and quail; they have all become her friends.  Recently, she received a commission to do a replica in watercolor of a stained glass window located at Garrett Chapel in Penn Yan which was well received.

Hannelore has  been participating for many years in the sales by the art group in Rio Verdes and Fountain Hills.
