A workshop for all Media

Finding Your Style is a workshop for all media - bring whatever you have and want to work with. If you area beginner and do not have supplies, just let the instructor know.

Experiment with different styles such as impressionistic, abstract and realistic. We will look at definitions of each and examples of these styles. We will do short studies of each, then work on a composition using a combination of what we like and feel the most comfortable with.

Supplies to Bring: Bring your favorite tools or kit you use. Paint, brush’s etc.or Pastels and paper. There are pastels and paper available at the studio for students that are starting.

About the Host: Shelly Hackett is an artist in the Sonoran Art League and lives in Fountain Hills. Over the last three decades, she has been in many shows and exhibitions, winning many awards. She was born in the Sonoran Desert of Arizona and where she started drawing ponies as early as she could pick up a pencil. Now, she enjoys painting landscapes and riding trails where she explores the dynamic contrast in the desert light. Her website shows recent work and accomplishments.
