Draw Studio: Logo Design Workshop

  • Art Room Rio Verde Community Center 85263 (map)

This week in Draw Studio, professional Creative Director and ASU professor Nancy Gray (also a VAL member and Tonto resident) is leading a logo design workshop.

No drawing or computer skills are needed.

A Logo is a symbol and a symbol is the fastest form of communication know to humankind. Like a face, a logo provides recognition and a myriad of associations. It is a messenger of trust. Yet, like in friendship, meaning is rarely immediate, it grows over time.

In this workshop we’ll explore the craft of logo design.

  • We’ll consider different types of logos; from literal through symbolic, from word-driven to image-driven.

  • We’ll learn seven elements/ingredients (pick your metaphor) of logo design. While keeping in mind that some rules are made to be broken.

All materials will be supplied. Beginners to advanced are welcome.

No fee.

Registration, not required but helpful. Simply complete this form.
