"A Different Point of View" is my artistic intent. Image, patterns, size, locations of objects on the canvas, as well as the infusion of thick bold oil colors are the critical elements in my artwork.   I seek to create original oil paintings capturing the character and natural beauty of the desert botanicals, architecture, animal figures and western still life.  I enjoy the quest for a unique composition using my photographs.   I seek to answer: “What composition and colors will lure the viewer for a closer look and does my painting tell a story? I seek to arouse delight while provoking your curiosity.  I have been painting for 25 years and consider myself self-taught as an artist. I  have studied under master art professionals and have taken course work at the Scottsdale Artists School. I continually seek growth within my craft and believe learning in all forms is a daily habit. I consider my art contemporary southwest with a Georgia O’Keefe / Van Gogh style. My art can be seen at the Fountain Hills Artists Gallery or on my web site: www.christinedemma.com. I am collected nationally. I have done many commission paintings. Hope you enjoy my art.
